Panthers 2019 season opener countdown: thirty six days to go

The particular No . 36 is currently worn simply by Carolina Panthers safety Kai Nacua. Here's a look at his potential factor in Carolina for the 2019 time of year.
Bio
Height: 6'0″
Weight: 205 lbs
Age: 24 years
University: BYU
Experience: 2 years
Full disclosure – I'm on the record as being a BYU homer and Kai Nacua is a former Cougar. I can not want to blow Nacua's profile from proportion here, but if given the ideal opportunity his career could turn into on par with Troy Polamalu or Ed Reed. (Did We mention I'm a BYU homer? )
For the last couple of years I've composed a pre-draft column here at CSR where I implore the Panthers to draft former BYU gamers. Back in 2017 I highlighted Kai Nacua as a potential pick within Rounds 6-7 but Carolina every other team passed on him in the draft. Nacua was ultimately agreed upon as an undrafted free agent by Cleveland Browns in 2017. He or she not only made the Browns 53-man roster that year he yet went on to play 214 defensive photos and 139 more on special groups, registering 14 total tackles. Pretty good for a UDFA. Despite getting some actively playing time as a rookie, Cleveland launched Nacua after 2017.
Kai has been signed to the Baltimore Ravens exercise squad in September 2018 plus released just four weeks later. This individual was then signed to the Panthers practice squad in Week fourteen last year and was brought back within 2019 to compete for a roster spot at safety, a position associated with critical need for the Panthers.
People, I know I'm biased, but I am pulling for Nacua. He was obviously a stud at BYU. He has been always in the right place at the correct time and came up with a bunch of game-changing plays. Here's what I said in the profile before the 2017 draft:
Kai Nacua is a ball-hawking, hard-hitting security who tends to come up big in order to matters most. I vividly keep in mind several games where he came up with massive interceptions to either shift energy or seal a BYU triumph. Between his junior and older seasons, Nacua registered 12 interceptions and 114 total tackles. Right after his 4. 5 40-yard splash performance, Nacua has been getting some hype as of late. Walter Football's assessment is certainly Nacua is a “sleeper prospect who seem to could be a steal. “
The Panthers are very, very thin at protection. If Carolina is looking for a 24-year-old future Hall of Famer running around the secondary (adjusts rose-colored glasses), look no further than Kai Nacua!
