The No . 49 is currently worn simply by Carolina Panthers linebacker Antwione Williams. Here's a look at his potential share in Carolina for the 2019 period.
Antwione Williams Bio
Weight: 247 lbs
Age: 26 years
University: Georgia Southern
Experience: 2 years
Antwione Williams spent two weeks on the Panthers practice squad last season plus returns in 2019 to contend for a roster spot. While Henry Kuechly and Shaq Thompson are usually locked to start at linebacker, level behind them remains a question mark.
Williams was a 2016 fifth-round choose by the Detroit Lions. During their rookie season, he appeared within 14 games with three begins and registered 27 tackles, a reasonably promising beginning for a late-round choose. The Lions ultimately chose to waive your pet before the 2017 season though and ended up spending the year on the Mn Vikings practice squad. He had been later cut by the Vikings before the 2018 season, spent a short period of time in the Seattle Seahawks practice squad after that closed out the season in Carolina.
In summary, in less than three seasons he or she spent time with four various NFC teams. After playing 204 defensive snaps as a rookie within 2016 he hasn't seen the area during the last two regular seasons. Which….. not a good sign.
The reality is it may be difficult for Antwione Williams to stay with the Panthers this year. Returning gamers Jermaine Carter, Andre Smith, plus Jared Norris earned limited actively playing time last year and will probably get into 2019 with a leg up on Williams. Then again, outside of Luke and Shaq, no other linebacker on the Panthers roster is an established contributor so we're going see how things play out within training camp.
