The particular Carolina Panthers released their initial unofficial depth chart of the 2019 season ahead of their preseason opener against the Chicago Bears on Thurs night.
You can take a look at the full level chart here, courtesy of the team's official website.
A few notes in regards to the depth chart
It's unofficial. Groups are required by the league to publish these types of depth charts, and most of the time instructors just mail it in given that it's still early in the preseason and they don't really know how they wish to construct their team yet.
The particular team is officially (or could it be unofficially? ) listed as a three to four defense. We've heard all offseason that the Panthers were going to operate a ‘hybrid' front, and it appears that it can be more of an actual change from a 4-3 to a 3-4 than a hybrid from the two.
The first team front 7 is Gerald McCoy, Dontari Poe and Kawann Short on the protective line, with Mario Addison, Lomaz Kuechly, Shaq Thompson and Bruce Irvin at linebacker.

Donte Knutson and James Bradberry are the beginning cornerbacks, with Eric Reid plus Tre Boston starting at basic safety. Ross Cockrell is currently listed since the No . 2 option at cornerback and free safety, so gowns interesting.

Cam Newton is still the particular No . 1 quarterback, which I'm certain doesn't surprise you. Kyle Allen is currently listed as the No . two quarterback, followed by Will Grier plus Taylor Heinicke. This doesn't mean a lot, but if I had to guess today I'd say that Heinicke will likely be the particular odd man out when the roster is cut to 53 gamers. I think the Panthers like Kyle Allen more, and they're not going to reduce Grier after they drafted him on No . 100 overall.

D. M. Moore and Curtis Samuel are usually listed as the two No . one wide receivers. Chris Hogan plus Jarius Wright are the No . two receivers, and Torrey Smith plus Aldrick Robinson are the No . several receivers.

Cameron Artis-Payne, Reggie Bonnafon and Jordan Scarlett are the 3 backup running backs to Alfredia McCaffrey. Interesting to see Bonnafon detailed as the No . 3 running back again, but as I've already stated — this list is informal and is subject to change.
The beginning offensive line is — through left to right — Daryl Williams, Greg Van Roten, He Paradis, Trai Turner and Taylor swift Moton. Greg Little is currently the particular No . 2 option at still left tackle, Dennis Daley is the back-up right guard behind Turner, plus Tyler Larsen is the second option on center behind Paradis.

Graham Gano, Michael Palardy and J. M. Jansen are in their usual places as The Specialists. Jaydon Mickens happens to be the No . 1 option on punt returner with Terry Godwin backing him up. Artis-Payne plus Mickens are the two kick returners.
Again, this list is informal. There's no need to freak out over it. Ron Rivera is required to put one of these level charts out before the team's very first preseason game. This list will alter at some point (Heck, some of these guys probably will not even make the team! ) therefore don't get too worked up over it.
With that said ,, what do you think of the depth chart? Could it be what you expected, or is it chock full of surprises that you can't wait around to complain about? Share your ideas with us, Panthers fans!
